2023 Riding Season is a Wrap

Last Saturday, Mother Nature told us to stay inside! She didn't want us outside. "It's not fair!!!!" Mom can be very bossy sometimes!!!! I was hoping beyond hope that we could squeeze in one more ride before any other weather-related catastrophes, and it wouldn't happen. During the "Left Ride," Mother Nature challenged us with cold weather, but we did get some miles in. The President's Ride was our "best little ride this season"! Again, it wasn't going to happen.

Overall, I think the season ended well. We enjoyed many rides, from Mike's Parade to the Windy 9. And the places we went to for lunch were so good, some we won't be going to again and some of the best side attractions I have ever been to. To me, personally, the Windy 9 was my best so far! The journey down there and all we saw in a weekend was so awesome. I have had many people mention the Butt Buster/Iron Butt, which was a great ride.....1,000+ miles in 24 hours....and those of us who made the trek made it back home. No one slept the next day, and everyone had an adrenaline rush that was hard to come down. That ride pushed every limit of what it is to ride a motorcycle......Indian or Harley or whatever you sit upon.

Now it's on to planning for a new season, a season of chills, thrills, and whatever other mischief we can get into. I have started to list some places to travel in the 2024 season, but next year, we will discuss all those and see what happens.

Many thanks go out to my "chiefs of staff" for everything they do and still do. They went above and beyond for the season to make it awesome.

My "Chiefs of Staff"

To my "Ambassador," John Breda, the glue that kept us together.....always had a smile on his face. It has been an honor to serve with you. I hope for many more years to come. Thank you!

To my "Webmaster," Kevin Irwin, the things you do or did for me were above any words. You kept the emails going and the webpage getting bigger. Thank you very much!!!

To my "Social Media Guru," Chris Weisgarber, you have keen eyesight to capture special memories and my best side! Your group ride videos are true treasures! Thank you!

To my " Membership Director," Maria Weisgarber, you truly have the gift of gab to talk to people. You kept the masses coming to find out what the group was about, and none were disappointed. Thank you!!!!

To my "Safety Director," Brock Sloan, you were all about safety!!! You shared ideas with me of what we can do, how to do it, the "whisper in the ear to say, HEY, LET'S GO!!!!"...thank you!!!!

Finally, to my " 2022 Rider of the Year," Rick Kendall. You were the shiny star that everyone could see, and you were a leader when needed. You were always there for EVERY RIDE, and I do mean everyone!!! Your reign as Rider of the Year was remarkable, and I know the ones after you will try to follow in your footsteps. Thank you!!!
