Soggy Kickoff Ride
By Kevin Irwin - Chapter President
Our 10th Anniversary Kickoff Ride was true to form this year; rainy. We haven’t had a dry kickoff in 10 years, and we have tried many different dates through April into early May. We had a nice group assemble for breakfast sandwiches and coffee provide by Bair’s Indian Motorcycle while we enjoyed looking at the beautful new motorcycles. Those in attendence signed their annual waivers, filled out their emergency contact info, and picked up their anniversary T-shirts. It was good to see some of the OG’s that were on that first ride 10 years ago!
The rain forced us to adjust the ride and simply ride to lunch and then Custer ‘s monument in New Rumley. We had few folks willing to test their rain gear, but a majority opted to head home. Ride your ride is our motto.
